For the last 2 weeks, we've been working on remodeling our basement. Today the carpet goes in. We still need to paint. I know, that's a bit backwards BUT, that's just how it all worked out so we'll just have to be careful when painting.

This started because I work from home and don't have an office. Initially, we were going to turn the basement into an office for me but then I thought, eh, I don't like the idea of being down there while the kids are running around throughout the house or outside playing. So, we may just make the basement a family area and keep my desk and such in the far corner of the living room. I am not sure yet.
I have been looking at desktops though, for down there. The kids are at that age where they like to play learning games on the computer so maybe I'll get one for down there and then set it up to where they can only go to certain websites. Anyone have some good suggestions on how to do this or what software is best?
